HPV Vaccinations
These are Human Papillomavirus vaccines that are inoculated to prevent certain types of human papillomavirus. HPV vaccines are effective in preventing cervical precancers and cancer-causing infections.
Fertility care
We help to fulfill the dream of achieving motherhood and building your family. We make sure that your reproductive needs must be satisfied by overcoming all the obstacles. Our management options include preconception counselling, management of PCOS and ovulation induction. We also diagnose common causes of sub fertility and where needed we refer to a specialist reproductive gynaecologist for further services of preconception planning, ovulation induction, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI procedure), In Vitro fertilization (IVF), reproductive surgery and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis.
Gynae surgery
Surgical procedures performed at our facility include Leep surgery, colposcopy, endometrial ablations under specific conditions for treating abnormal menstrual bleeding, dilation and curettage (D&C), endometrial surgery, hysterectomy, oophorectomy and Laparoscopic surgery.
Cervical Cancer Screening and management of Pre-malignant lesions
Cervical cancer screening is a routine test done to check the health of the cervix to see if there is a risk of cervical cancer. Persistent infection of the cervix over the years due to human papillomavirus is responsible for cervical cancer. HPV testing helps in the diagnosis of pre-malignant lesions. A smear can also be taken from the cervix known as Pap Smear which helps to see the cell abnormalities. Management of pre-malignant lesions is very important as it helps to prevent the lesions from progressing into cervical cancer.
Gynaecology Check-up
Regular Gynae check-ups for women help them prevent certain minor conditions from developing into severe ones. We stand by the saying “early detection is key”. We recommend visiting a gynaecologist at least once a year for an annual check-up. This will include screening, evaluation and advice based on findings.
Contraceptives
We also offer advice and consultation on the full-range of contraceptives to meet your reproduction and sexual health requirements. Methods of contraception available at our facility include Implant, intrauterine device (IUD), Intrauterine System (IUS), Injection, combined pill, contraceptive patch etc.
Diagnosis and management of common gynaecological conditions
There are numerous Gynaecological conditions but the most common among the general population are uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and endometriosis. Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths of the uterus that appear in women of child-bearing age. Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop in the ovaries and pelvic pain is due to infection or any condition affecting the reproductive system. All these conditions are treated at Dr. Naks ObGyn’s practice.
